Insulated Ceiling
Date Added: 12/14/04 20:26 EST |
| We hoisted this framework with R13 insulation batting (20' x 24') up 10 feet and suspended it from the hangar rafters to form the work area. What a sight watching 9 of us hoisting that mess up! Once suspended I hung tarps down the side and then layed old carpet scraps down to try to insulate the cold concrete floor. It's sorta working! Can get the inside temp up to 60 when it is only 20 outside with a kerosene heater. |

Sonex #444 in it's winter berth.
Date Added: 12/14/04 20:31 EST |
| Heating only a 20x24'enclosure is sure easier than trying to heat the whole 50x54 hangar! Sure will be glad when the calendar turns over to April and things start thawing out again. |
